Why?
They are basically the same thing, in different ranges.
Whether cartridge as in the "Goldpro", or in our more sophisticated "Housed" units....or in mega-collection "Bag"
assemblies......The filters collect the gold and PM particles direct from the water stream, often stuck to clay, organic
debris, sand particles and as fine flake, flour or bits.
The carbon recovers efficiently below the filter's range of ability, at 1 micron level. This means an efficient system,
recovering from existing operations like dredges, tables or grinds can first filter the watery portion, less the garbage,
sand and gravels through simple filtration, like that offered by a paint-strainer sock, sold at most paint stores, tied
around the pickup/suction hose. The below-54-mesh or so nylon filter allows everything else to enter and be trapped
by the filtration.
Common sense tells you to wait till some of that settles out in major washs, as in sand/gravel operations. But from
rivers in gold areas, it may be the one time that the gold is on the move, like spring runnoffs. Again, some common
sense is called for. Now, the remaining waters, processed thru the filters, regardless of type, can be collected to run
through the carbon as a final recovery phase. Those capable and with ability, can divert, collect, filter and
carbon-collect entire stream systems, for returns others can only speculate about.
For Sand and Aggregate operators, placer operators, and those re-working tailings, this can be a surprising amount of
gold and platinums, especially those in Eastern States, recipients of Glacial tills. You know who you are. In the
Western States, what can we say? You sand and aggregate operators are already in the business of separating the
heavies from the light stuff and Black Sand is a major part of your visible returns.
Learn to find the values by sampling with our test units, by panning, or any methods you can...as untold wealth is
sliding by your window of opportunity. In all of these efforts..consider that our recovery units are to fill the gap
FOLLOWING major recovery efforts, for the small stuff that generally gets away, not the 4 lb. clunkers of Native Gold
anyone can see.
