Professional Gold Recovery with FSI Filters
|
Professional Gold Recovery means approaching this as a business...
First, by planning where you intend to recover..
Second, knowing what type of gold, at what micron or particle level it exists..
Thirdly..match the equipment to the situation.
|
Shown above is an example of what you might use to recover gold, if you were
in the business. These units are versatile, in that they can be fitted with
drop-in micron bags for fine flour gold or precious metals, as well as carbon
for recovery of colloidal or smaller metals in seemingly clear waters, like old
flooded mines or wells in gold-bearing areas.
These units are not just "Bigger Filters", but easy-loading bag units with
replaceable inserts, backed with poly strainer units, that can handle 100 PSI ,
with 2" inlet-outlet, a variety of stand types, and can be coupled together in
gangs to handle truly epic flows of waters from pumps or gravity flows you set
up. Easily mounted in a truck bed on plywood, together with a generous pump,
these can handle 1,000 gallons an hour or more, and can be separately shut off,
changed out, or manipulated for different systems, in series or parallel, for a
truly portable gold-recovery plant.
These Bag filter units will hold 20 times the gold-bearing sediments that
conventional filters will...so need changing and cleaning less often. Tops "spin"
off for easy filter changes, and minimum down-time. Bags can be rinsed with a
hose into collector or leach drums for later processing. Most bags can be
re-used 12 times before they need replacing. Those running carbon inside this
unit will find this system superior to keep valuable metals under closer watch.

The lowly filter bag
This simple concept means that you can now
collect that powder-fine gold without watching in
frustration as it swirls out of the pan, gold wheel,
or off the end of the dredge sluice.
A recent trip to Georgia netted several ounces
following a 3" dredge during an afternoon of it
moving several tons of gravels, while not actually
recovering more than a few "pickers" on the sluice
table.
Some areas have nothing but super-fine powder
gold to offer, and there is no other way we have
found to collect it, while letting lesser sediments
pass on past the system.
When coupled with carbon, this combination will
grab every gold particle afloat, if operated within
specifications.
As an example: A friend of ours has a well on a gold seam, and unlimited water table under it. His 24 Gals per minute pump will deliver over 1 million gallons a month through carbon inserts. As his water tested 1 part per million gold...this means a gallon of gold every month. As 1 gallon of gold is roughly 152 lbs., that means 2,432 ounces AU.
