One Example of a dredge set-up
|
OK......so it's not great art-work....just trying to illustrate how it was set up, "impromptu"...
If some of you machinist-types out there can come up with a better...attachment-type collector that
will hang off the end of the sluice boxes, to collect all of the "heavies", while acting as a grizzly to
separate the bigger stuff and send it downstream...feel free.
Keep in mind at this point, the "Pickers" are caught on the table already...it's the sand-grade, flake
and small stuff (micron) we are trying to catch and re-funnel into the second system.
* Please note that the water volume on the "Gold-Pro" need not be as high as the original dredge
output, as it is basically re-processing and collecting smaller volumes of materials overall.....so the
secondary pump is generally smaller.
We DID illustrate that this secondary recovery is MORE than worth it, as we all know it is tedious
and frustrating to move all of that overburden which doesn't pay well in terms of nuggets, until you
near bedrock.
This system recovers ALL of the gold and PM's masquerading as Black Sand, as well as super-fine
values that NO sluice is ever going to get.
