This is a shale, loaded with Gold, Silver and some PGM’s...VERY RICH, and seldom seen by the
average mining operator. Tests here in the lab yielded about 8 to 10 grams of metal per ounce!
The matrix is mostly silica and fine quartz, laid down in very narrow sheets of sediments,
sandwiching the visible gold and other metals in between...a lot like a stack of copier paper…
I can only speculate as to the eventual returns this can bring...I am guessing the Gold can run over
25 ounces per ton….for careful operators.
Getting it out?
Nothing could be simpler...as the shale is relatively soft, the grind is relatively easy and should be
ground very fine….200 to 400 mesh, as the gold portion is very fine and powdery..and cannot be
taken out with a shaker deck...except for a few pickers.
I recommend a good leach with our THIO-LEACH, which will dissolve all of the precious metal
values except the heaviest particles...which you can pan out or melt down yourself after the leach.
So if you want to simply refine your skills with some top-quality ore, or create a small backyard
recovery operation...give this a try...you won’t be disappointed!

| This is an actual sample at 100 X under the lab microscope of the gold particles, scraped off the top of one of the shale samples… The Gold is readily Visible ..with some silvery metal showing as well... |
