the metals in solution travel to the other.
In practical terms, gold to be plated is dissolved in the electrolyte and sent in ionic form by the sending ANODE, to be re-
deposited on the other pole, the CATHODE. When recovering gold, it exists from some prior effort to dissolve it into an
electrolyte solution, then made to travel to the CATHODE by free electrons being broadcast from an inert ANODE...of
