Time-honored methods of finding a good gold prospect are still used by some...but today geochemical prospecting is re-discovering the gold left behind in thousands of former gold rush mining areas.

Yesterday's miners could not see the gold
that escaped unseen over their sluice or
table which today may lay as sediments in
old tailings ponds, river courses and
leftover piles from mines, by the thousands
in the USA.
Neither could they have known about the
tons of gold, silver and platinum that flow
downstream annually as fine particles, too
small to see.
Some may still prefer to dig for gold the
old-fashioned way, but increasingly it is harder to
find a great place, meet the local legal
requirements, assemble the big equipment
needed, and invest the large sums required to
begin
As it takes an average of $125. an ounce to get
gold out of the ground, assuming you own that
ground, you can see that being in the gold
business is very expensive.
That is, until now.....
